The zoo unveiled their project in tandem with their Range of the Jaguar exhibit, and have taken in jaguars from Guyana that were no longer able to live in their natural habitat. The Jacksonville Zoo is also renowned for their breeding programs, which have helped to produce larger populations of big cats, primates, and large mammals like elephants and rhinos.
